"Arte on Yarra"
Exhibition at the MDL Gallery from Wed 14th April to Sun 9th May 2010.
An exhibition celebrating a mother's journey, exploring colour and the beauty of nature as the river flows towards the sea. Specialising in silk paintings & scarves, enhanced with a collection of mixed media paintings by Julia Goodwin.
(The Gallery is open Wed to Sun inclusive, 10-4.30pm, with $5 pp entry, which includes self-serve coffee & tea).
Closed Mondays & Tuesdays, however, Group bookings for these days may be arranged.

# 8 - ROAD SURVEY By degrees the by-roads were surveyed and cleared, and bridges and culverts were built. In the year 1880 a new one-chain road to Lilydale was cleared, and gradually formed in sections by contract. This was the road which is used at the present day, Mr Thomas Hand being the shire engineer.
